Instead of doing laundry, I created a small heart pendant. This was my first time doing surface mount soldering.
I actually did not have ESD safe tweezers, I used my nail art tweezers instead. Tiny rhinestones and little surface mount LEDS are about the same size. Who knew nail art could help with soldering skills?
This was the project that finally got me to realize that a magnifying glass and a lamp at my soldering station would be a good idea.
As I still didn’t want to do laundry, I made a night light instead. The LEDs for this project felt gigantic and were way easier than the pendant.
The case for the night light was soldered. I could have glued it, but the danger of burns was more thrilling.
